Via Ferrata “THE IRON PATH”
Just one week after my last adventure, I decided to come back to Ovcar Kablar, and tried the first ViaFerrata in Serbia. For those of you who don’t know, Via Ferrata or “iron path”, is a protected climbing route which enables you to experience combination of alpine hiking and rock climbing.
To be honest, I didn’t research much about this route before coming. My idea was just to experience Via Ferrata without any previous knowledge. We climbed for around ten minutes. In some parts, we climbed on the ladder, but there was also part where had to utilize our hands strength as well as our prowess. But, thanks to the help of professional guides that followed us, it was much easier to pass the entire route. Once I looked down, my heart started to bit faster, but I focused on my challenge and continue to climb slowly, step by step. Finally, I reached the top, the secret cave. The view is unique, you should see for yourself! After some time on the top, we went down using “abseil” or rappel. “Now, just relax and enjoy”, said our guide who took me down on the rope. I really did!
On this adventure, I realized that patience is necessary for succeeding in every goal! I was able to face my fear of hights, climbing fifty meters! It was truly success and amazing adventure.
