Experience the both city and Serbian nature in this full day tour. We will visit many important historic spots in Belgrade, as well as Avala Mountain, a must-see attraction just outside of the city.
Our first stop is Belgrade fortress. This is a great place for an introduction to Serbian history and its heritage. Born at the confluence of two rivers, the Sava and Danube, Belgrade hides many stories which we will reveal you during this tour. Continuing our walk we will pass through Kalemegdan Park, the most visited park in the city.
Next to the park is the main pedestrian zone and Republic Square. If you want to feel like a local, we suggest you take a break and have some refreshment in the oldest restaurant in the city, “?”. After a break, we will continue through Prince Michael Street, the main shopping street with many boutiques and souvenir shops. We will pass next to the Republic Square where a monument dedicated to the liberator of Serbia proudly stands.
Driving through one of the main streets where many governmental institutions are located, we will reach the fifth biggest Orthodox Church in the world, the Temple of St. Sava. While learning about medieval history, you will understand the significance of this church to the Serbian people.
Just a half an hour drive away is our next destination, Avala Mountain. Belgraders like to escape here, especially during the weekend. Be prepared to climb a little bit, up “a few” stairs to reach the monument. You won’t regret it! Avala Tower is our next stop. On the top of the tower you can enjoy a drink, while admiring an outstanding view of Belgrade and Serbia.
We will also visit Zemun, part of Belgrade that was developing under Austrian – Hungarian Empire. It keeps old spirit of the XIX and XX century which stayed in its original shape.
Note: tour is adaptable for larger group and teambuildings.
